Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Sr. HR Consultant Global Talent Operations in Century City, CA or Dallas, TX.

6+ month contract

Key Responsibilities:

Current State Inventory
  • Conduct full inventory of current state including full inventory, evaluation and assessment of resources, workload, areas of responsibility, core processes, policies, procedures and projects including:
    • Who is on the team (regional, global, in each LOB, in the COEs)?
    • What is everyone currently doing?
    • Recommend the right team structure(s) to effectively serve company and our constantly evolving business growth and strategy
    • Define the roles; daily vs on-going vs special projects?
    • Create an inventory of policies & procedures
    • Identify core projects and agree on distribution of workload and prioritization
    • Global vs regional and solution differences in areas of responsibility as well as processes
  • All of this to be approached with a view towards meeting and exceeding our diverse business needs (Current and future state) outline risks, ideas, how to scale for growth within, best practices from each etc.
  • Ensure that the service delivery model – both systems and administration – is flexible and scalable for growth and change
  • This work will help set the perm placement up for success and help company not lose valuable time while the search is underway
  • Consultant/temp role will also be there to liaise between team and SVP, raise risks and issues, dig in where needed, etc
This role will report to the SVP – Global Talent and collaborate internally with the SVP and key functional leaders to implement a multi-year strategic initiative that positions the function's focus on the operational needs of the organization through harmonization, streamlining and consolidation of our core HR operations service delivery. The role will be responsible for the design of our regional and global core HR operations processes in the employee lifecycle, supporting systems and administration to be agile, flexible and scalable for growth and change through the implementation of a shared service delivery model for our HR systems and administration globaly.
This role will lead the HR teams in the NA region and globally serving as the lead for the enterprise-wide HR systems and talent operations functions including:
  • Global Service Delivery
  • Global HRIS (Data Management, Data Security, Compliance, Analytics, Reporting)
  • Global HR Administration (Processes, Policies, Procedures)
  • This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:
Shared Services Model
  • Partner with SVP – Global Talent to design and implement an HR Operations Shared Services delivery model for HR Administration and Systems that meets current and future business needs for all solution areas that is efficient, cost effective, and reduces complexity and time
  • Drive efficiencies, streamline between solutions and across different geographies globally;
    • Optimize the end-to-end employee life-cycle processes; ,standardize core process ownership within the function, consolidate and centralize
    • Eliminate cost, time and minimize risk and exposure
    • Manage and maintain local and global compliance with Company and external policies, procedures and best practices
    • Ensure continued alignment with our core values
  • Ensure service delivery model– both systems and administration – is flexible and scalable for growth and change
Systems & Reporting
  • Serve as the HR main point of contact and Subject Matter Expert on HCM systems for the organization. Partner with IT leadership to set the overall direction and strategy for the HCM system
  • Establish key operational metrics and reporting tools related to HR operations
  • Establish consistent governance practices, policies and procedures that provide for the confidentiality, accuracy, security (access, approvals, etc.) and timely maintenance of HR data and reports
  • Develop and implement regular data audit processes and procedures streamlined across all LOBs and geographies
Operations Team, Service Delivery & Team
  • Develop HR Operations service delivery level agreements, performance metrics and reporting dashboards to demonstrate COE productivity and contribution
  • Ensure the highest level of internal client service delivery. Develop service level agreements, KPIs and standards for response times, delivery to internal clients
  • Ensure right resources in the right roles. Provide initial and on-going training for the team including all tools and resources needed in order to deliver client service excellence and efficiencies that are cross-solution. Identify talent in current org and in the business performing operational roles. Harmonize roles & responsibilities within geos and solutions, creating cross-training and career path opportunities. Set up resourcing to drive for efficiencies
Professional Experience/Qualifications:
The selected candidate should possess the following:
  • At least 10-12 years of proven mastery and expertise in managing HR Operations and Transformation
  • Minimum of 15 years' experience in HR operations.
  • Experience as a senior-level manager in Global HR operations, preferably for an HR shared service center managing cross-functional HR processes
  • SAP experience required
  • Demonstrated experience streamlining and developing a shared service model and business processes
  • Ability to influence and negotiate without formal direct authority, consultative in approach
  • Experience in organizational design/structure/processes and the ability to determine structures and governance for optimal communication flow and effective service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities and drive change
  • Operational understanding of various HR disciplines and their integration with broader HR COE areas as well as integration to the business
  • Demonstrated success in leading global rollouts and large-scale initiatives, including significant project and program management, including cross-functional and geographic locations
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Ability to clearly articulate goals and key deliverables and needs for project outcomes
  • Able to build and maintain effective cross-functional and cross-geographic relationships that drive project outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to transform a process/department to leverage efficiencies and synergies with a track-record of success in implementing large-scale process and structure change within complex-matrixed and resource constrained organizations
MBA, or MS, other related advanced degree or equivalent is a plus
