Description:
The Senior Financial Systems Analyst (SFSA) Planning & Reporting, will support the Financial Planning & Business Intelligence Reporting primarily for the Studios while serving as a back-up support for Direct To Consumer & International (DTCI), Television for the enterprise financial systems (e.g. SAP, Business Warehouse, Business Objects, Cognos/TM1). They will build financial analysis and reporting tools through the implementation of business intelligence solutions. They will design and support the analysis and reporting process improvements, system enhancements, and transaction automation tools to meet segment needs.

Strategic Focus: Will serve as a strategic business planning partner working with business process owners, business units and IT to formulate options to address specific reporting and analysis issues / requirements. The SFSA's key focus will be to support the reporting and transaction automation strategy and solutions for primarily the segments and others as assigned.

System Support/Maintenance: Provide ongoing Segment support for reporting enhancements/maintenance. This includes requirements gathering and maintenance. Coordinates/completes testing of enterprise & segment break fixes, enhancements, and upgrades and identifies segment specific impacts resulting from system changes. Communicates/trains segment specific impacts as needed.

Process/User Support: Works with Segment Partners to understand and support their transaction processing, reporting process, and data needs. Provides support to finance and accounting system users and develops/delivers localized segment training as needed.

5+ years' of experience
Hybrid of systems experience and financial accounting, with the systems side (supporting, sustainment, implementation) essential

• Strong understanding of financial systems, processes and enhancements
• Proficient in MS Excel with VBA and macros
• Proven history of building and maintaining excellent client service relationships
• Proven ability to interact and partner with all levels of management to help drive collaborative business decisions
• Proven "team player” who possesses solid interpersonal and organizational skills
• High energy level; strong work ethic
• Self-driven, independent thinker
• Results-oriented, able to anticipate change and respond to client priorities with agility
• Demonstrated track record of process improvements and desire to implement best practices
• Experienced in using the Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project)
• Experience in using Business Objects and/or Cognos reporting tools
• Experience in using SAP or another ERP
• Experience developing end user training
• Experience implementing financial processes and systems
• Established expertise in financial operations, financial controls, GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and financial systems
• Understanding of general ledger, hierarchies and data structures
• Provides technical support for SAP BW custom queries and complex Excel workbooks with VBA
Communication
• Regularly interacts with management, clients and stakeholders on matters concerning their functional area, segments and departments
• Able to concisely develop and deliver key information; ability to develop well laid out presentations
• Tailors messages appropriately to the audiences
• Conveys relevant information in a timely and concise manner

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
: The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in Project Management and requirements, with working knowledge of SAP, Excel and financial reporting (Cognos/TM1, Business Warehouse and Business Objects). This individual should be able to develop and deliver well laid out presentations, and tailor communication to fit varied audiences.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in conducting process reviews and be familiar with current business analytics and finance process best practices and be able to work with various entities to streamline existing processes.
Strategy

• Participates in the strategic business planning with business units (within Segments and across the Enterprise) and IT to formulate enhancement options to address specific functional issues / requirements
• Identifies and analyzes metrics to obtain trends and patterns to identify process/system opportunities and recommend corrective action
• Recommends and implements process improvement/reengineering initiatives
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of business specific objectives
Project Management
• Liaises with IT to drive system enhancements, upgrades and modifications; ensures architecture supports business requirements
• Manages medium scale/budget, medium risk, and multi-process focused projects.
• Assists with the design, resource management, implementation and support of process improvement and reporting solutions for each Segment
o Effectively communicates with management, stakeholders, subject matter experts and project team members
o Assists in developing project infrastructure for team (i.e. templates, project management methodology and execution)
o Assists in the development of project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans and allotment of resources for each phase of the project
o Coordinates & executes project activities to ensure project progresses on schedule
o Monitors project results against objectives, milestones and scope.
o Develops and solution testing, training and communication.
o Obtains project signoff of completion and appropriately close-out
o Collaborates and solves problems
Process and End User Support
• Applies expert knowledge and understanding of financial and US GAAP accounting principles to our systems and business processes
• Proactively identifies and troubleshoots issues (data or process) and take appropriate action to resolve
• Ability to define a clear vision and motivate others to embrace change
• Works with team to lead the resolution of day-to-day technical/procedural challenges
• Manages end user support and training. This includes request management (incidents/system enhancements) and training (standard materials, course design and delivery)
• Manages testing efforts for system implementations, enhancements and modifications
• Coordinates testing with end users, out-source partner staff and peers supporting other business units
• Ensures orderly, accurate and timely completion of all required test scripts, localizes test scripts as necessary to ensure each Segment's specific business needs are addressed
• Provides end user support to finance and accounting system users and works with business partners to understand and support their transaction processing, reporting process, data mining and consolidation
