This role is part of the Enterprise Business Systems (EBS) organization. Our mission is to provide business technology solutions for the enterprise that empower growth, and enhance value across brands, geographies and organizations.

The HCM (Human Capital Management) & Corporate Functions Business Technology group is part of the EBS organization. We are responsible for advancing the Business and Enterprise Technology Strategy by creating shareholder value. We lead with a Business Architecture framework and own the core HCM, Legal, Tax, Real Estate, Brand Management, Enterprise Social Responsibility and Global Security functions domain technology roadmap.

The Project Manager will lead the analysis of migrating our Open Text eDOCS Document repository to new document management applications such as NetDocuments and SharePoint. The Project Manager will work closely with various stakeholders from Legal, HCM, Finance and Audit. The Project Manager will be responsible for documenting an integrated project plan for migration and decommission of the eDOCS environment.

The Project Manager will plan, execute, and deliver all phases of the project on time, in budget, and within scope in accordance with business priorities. Throughout the lifecycle of the project, the Project Manager tracks project status and manages project participants to mitigate issues and risks as well as carry out the communication plan in support of change management as stakeholders move to new processes

In addition to exceptional PM skills, the ideal senior level candidate will also have strong Business Systems Analysis, Data and System Integration experience, as well as solid Vendor Management experience.

Basic Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be resourceful, self-motivated, and collaborative, with solid communication skills. They will have the ability to take direction and interact successfully with EBS leadership team. This position will report into the Sr. Manager, Business Technology.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Defines and creates project plan for the project, includes prioritization and implementation
  • Defines scope and deliverables for vendor participant agreements
  • Partners with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria
  • Facilitates all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Assesses and resolves all high priority project risks as they are encountered
  • Continually apprises relevant business stakeholder of project status
  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies issues, and devises contingency plans
  • Identifies, manages, and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team
  • Provides frequent on-site monitoring and enforcement of schedules, milestones, and vendor accountability
  • Conducts meetings with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organization to validate understanding of business goals and effectively communicate the business strategy
  • Collaborates with stakeholders (consisting of business sponsor, user groups, Enterprise Technology, and vendors) to define the project objective and goals, detailed scope, approach, resource requirements, risks and communications strategy
  • Aligns rollout strategy across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Leads effective status meetings which communicate overall project status and define actions required to keep project within scope, schedule and budget
  • Publishes weekly status reports that provides project progress reports to project team and stakeholders
  • Manages vendor progress and deliverables
  • Ensures vendor contractual obligations are met
  • Acts as a first checkpoint for quality delivered by vendor prior to user acceptance testing
  • Able to facilitate requirements sessions and document requirements
  • Gains a deep knowledge of requirements and ensures product and vendor deliverables meet requirements
SKILLS:
  • The candidate must have proven experience in working in a matrix environment and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Skilled in distilling insights from data and synthesizing and crafting compelling presentations for executive audiences, both financial and non-financial
  • Demonstrated excellence in verbal/written communication capabilities and foundational presentation skills.
  • Displays aptitude to understand and execute on project-related financial tasks.
  • Understands basics of updating project budgets, forecasts and actuals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong commitment to program success metrics

  • Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods

  • Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, or unpredictability
EXPERIENCE:
  • 5 to 10 years of experience as a project manager of enterprise-wide software implementations in complex and large corporate environments with multiple stakeholders
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, MS Teams, MS Project, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management tools (Clarity, Smartsheet, etc).
  • Proven ability to complete projects and achieve results in an ambiguous work environment.
  • Proven ability to build and motivate a team to achieve well-communicated expectations.
  • Proven strong negotiating and consensus building abilities.
  • Proven delivery application portfolios inclusive of XaaS technologies and on-prem solutions.
  • Proven ability to manage a departmental budget, including AOP, Forecast, and Capital.
  • Prior Disney experience is strongly desired
  • Preferred experience with legal technology and document management systems (eDOCS, NetDocuments)
  • Preferred experience with leveraging an Enterprise Data Hub technology for system to system or platform to platform integrations.

BS or equivalent
