Software Resources has an immediate job opportunity for a Senior Data Analyst in Glendale, CA.

This role with will assist the team in analyzing various options with respect to integrating data from disparate systems. They will generate workflow diagrams to support business process and technical data streams across the technology stack. This person will collaborate with 3rd party data vendors on development needs/gaps and ensure there is proper understanding of any data requirements. The person in this role will also assist the team in designing advanced analytical solutions and present proof of concepts to the team. He/she will assist in understanding the technical stack requirements along with guiding the team towards creating an environment and culture that can create more efficient business decisions through in depth data insights

Basic Qualifications:
  • Participate in data requirement discussions around needs from the data vendors, Internal business teams, document these requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Generate workflow diagrams to support business process and technical data streams integration
  • Create proof of concepts of advanced data analytics using data science and machine learning concepts
  • Demo and show case these results to the remaining team, capture feedback and iterate
  • Guide team regarding technical stack that is required to develop more advanced analytical solutions
  • Create visualization layer using latest business intelligence visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView Plotly, R – Shiny, ggplot2
  • Experience in statistical analysis techniques like Confidence Interval, Hypothesis testing, ANOVA, Conjoint analysis and sentiment analysis.
  • Work with RDBMS like Sql Server, Teradata, creating database design, creating tables, data migration, writing Stored Procedures, Functions, Joins indexes, constraints and Triggers for different Data Models and knowledge of MS access.
  • Create testing plans that ensure data accuracy
  • Generate Business Specific test plans for UAT of enhancements being delivered
  • Communicate issues found in testing, seek priority from proper stakeholder and monitor resolution through deployment to production
  • Provide oversight during system training, answering business questions from users that connect the technology with the process. Document system process with user guides by seeking guidance
  • Ensure that the Project team sprint commitments are met and help remove project impediments and project issues
  • Provide input to weekly status reports and provide updates to the Agile project management tool to provide visibility to project progress
  • Provide day-to-day risk/issue management for the projects and escalate issues, as appropriate.
  • Document meeting minutes and key action items for key integration meetings for the DMD COE program
The following shall be delivered by Consultant:
  • Specifications, rules, and workflow diagrams related to the project
  • Weekly status report input.
  • Data and process integration technical/functional requirements documents
  • Input to integration risk and issues log on a weekly basis and as new risks arise.
  • Updates to Agile project management tool
  • Meeting minutes and action items list as required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 8-10 years of progressive experience in a data analytics related field
  • Experience with data science and machine learning models and technology – Python,R etc
  • Experience with understanding business processes and translating them into technical processes and requirements
  • Experience with database such as Teradata, Sql Server, Big data bases such as Hadoop etc
  • Experience with data integrations projects
Required Education:
BS or equivalent
