Software Resources has an immediate contract job opportunity for an Information Security Analyst in Lake Buena Vista, FL.

The ISA will provide hands-on technical support and administration of a wide range of security countermeasures, tools, and technologies, to include (but not limited to) firewalls, access management systems, proxies, and scanning systems. This position will work directly with the Information Technology Team and other credit union departments to prevent, detect, and respond to security incidents, implement best practices, and manage security tools and devices across the enterprise.
The ISA will train and mentor cast members on common security practices and information policies, standards and procedures. The ISA will actively promote good security practices, and be exemplary in modeling best practices. Additionally, the ISA will evaluate security solutions, and provide recommendations to the ISM on security software, hardware, policies, and procedures for implementation across the credit union. The ISA will engage with external vendors and service providers to ensure solutions and services are securely implemented.
The ISA must be able to work independently, and be proactive in identifying issues, troubleshooting problems, and make decisive decisions based on sound security principles. The ISA is expected to assist in developing the credit union’s security initiatives into a top-tier program.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of information security risks and application of relevant techniques and tools.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery principles and concepts.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to parse requirements and relate them to appropriate security controls.
  • Experience in vulnerability testing and ability to plan and implement ongoing testing and monitoring programs and knowledge of IT operational infrastructure.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and volumes of detail; work intuitively and independently, audit, analyze, organize tasks and projects.
  • Ability to interact with personnel at all levels and across all business units and organizations, and to comprehend complex business initiatives.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Working knowledge of system tools for monitoring trends related to security event management, vulnerability assessment, and intrusion detection.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to discuss complex technical issues with laypersons as well as highly technical individuals.
  • Experience using industry frameworks such as NIST, FFIEC, COBIT, ISO, PCI.
  • Professional IT Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, PCI.
  • Proficient in MS Office products, including Word and Excel.
Basic Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience
  • Financial Services
  • Degree in Business Administration or a technology-related field, and/or equivalent work or education related experience
  • Support the development, implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of information security policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Assist with maintaining and documenting t social engineering testing, including reporting results and remediation.
  • Support incident management/response across the enterprise and provide consistent security monitoring, response, follow-up investigation, and determination of root cause. Evaluates security alerts generated by internal systems, vendors, and other industry sources.
  • Analyze logs and reports from Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Web Filtering, Email Filtering, Data Loss Prevention, and other security and compliance products.
  • Support the user access review process and other monitoring aspects of identity and access management.
  • Conduct or support the completion of vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and information security risk assessments.
  • Interact with third-party managed security service providers as required to facilitate ongoing system testing and monitoring.
  • Review active threat intelligence from FS-ISAC and other sources and determine escalation requirements.
  • Periodically contribute to the evaluation of internal control maturity against best practices and frameworks like the FFIEC Cybersecurity Assessment Tool.
  • Work with internal and external auditors during examinations providing support and assistance in addressing audit recommendations.
  • Manage miscellaneous documentation, requests processing, training (new hire, employee awareness), and other projects as assigned.
  • Maintain procedures and checklists for all monitoring functions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Information Security Manger (CISM)
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
  • Similar Credential is desired
