We are looking for on-site Dev Ops Enginner for our client in El Segundo, CA

DevOps Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced DevOps (Development and Operations) professional to join our growing organization. In this position, you will manage infrastructure projects and processes. A keen attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and solid knowledge base are essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management tools
  • Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve application(s) security and performance
  • Implement integrations requested by customers
  • Develop procedures to integrate with internal back-end systems
  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement development delivery
  • Perform root cause analysis for production errors
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards
  • Help maintain and develop a set of CI/CD tools with the DevOps team
  • Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
  • Document and design various processes; update existing processes
  • Follow all best practices and procedures as established by company policies and standards
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, software engineering, or related field
  • Work experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role
  • Five years previous experience in development and operations, or related IT, computer, or operations field
  • Strong experience with containers, Docker, Universal Container Runtime and Kubernetes
  • Strong knowledge with GIT, Bitbucket, Jenkins and Jira
  • Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
  • Strong knowledge with software development, infrastructure development, or development and operations
  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using either Ansible, Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
  • Strong knowledge with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus, too, since we also use Redis)
  • Strong knowledge writing code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
  • Up-to-date on latest industry trends; able to articulate trends and potential clearly and confidently
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
